Bjorn Bjornsson

Bjorn Bjornsson was one of the Everlords, known among the Battleborn both as a legendary hero and as "Bjorn the Betrayer." His ultimate fate remains unknown.

Origin and Betrayal

Bjorn was originally a Battleborn Brawler sent to spy on the Everlords at the height of their journeys. His tale is primarily one of observation of the Everlords. Near the end of their reign, Bjorn became sympathetic to the Everlords' cause and abandoned the Battleborn to help them stand against the old gods, dragons, and elves.

When his original mission of spying was revealed, the Everlords forgave him and welcomed him into their ranks - a testament to their benevolence.

When Bjorn left the Battleborn, he took three disciples with him:

• Shotty - the master of firearms
• Amos - the master of Gravity
• A third disciple - the forgotten messenger

Abilities and Powers

Bjorn was a formidable warrior with numerous mastered abilities:

• Teleportation Magic: A master of teleportation, Bjorn's speed was such that he could strike an enemy 5 times before they had seen him move
• Close Quarters Combat: Exceptionally skilled in hand-to-hand fighting
• Earth Manipulation: A master manipulator of the Earth itself - when Bjorn struck at his foes, the earth struck with him
• Legendary Constitution: Could hold his drink better than any of the other Everlords OR Old Gods

Notable Deeds

The Battle of Dunmore

At the Battle of Dunmore, Bjorn fought alongside the Everlords. He reduced the Exploding Man to ashes and ended the siege with a single blow.

Bjorn the Dragon Slayer

Bjorn was nearly destroyed by the fallen Apostle after his metamorphosis. His triumph in this battle led him to be known as Bjorn the Dragon Slayer.

First Meeting with the Everlords

The first time Bjorn met the Everlords, he punched Vlad in the face so hard it ripped his eye out and killed him. Vlad, being a master of healing, quickly recovered and mended his wounds. Bjorn responded by killing him a second time. The two became fast friends.

Combat with the Everlords

Bjorn at one time or another fought each one of the Everlords, save for Alam. The two had a mutual understanding that should they ever come to blows, the world would likely be destroyed.

Legacy Among the Battleborn

Bjorn's status among the Battleborn is complex and divisive:

Bjorn the Betrayer

Many living Battleborn still refuse to speak of him due to his betrayal of his original mission. They know him as Bjorn the Betrayer and do not honor him the way they would an ancestor.

The Battlebjorn

Those Battleborn who do celebrate Bjorn as a hero of the northborn and as a great warrior refer to themselves as the Battlebjorn. They believe that:

• Their destinies lie in following Bjorn's path
• They are meant to assist the Everlords in ridding the world of dragons, heretics, and false gods
• Bjorn will return to this plane and assist them in battle
• He will ultimately lead them to victory

Despite the controversy, the Battleborn celebrate Bjorn as one of their own due to his exploits in battle, even if they do not fully honor him.
