The Elves of the Far Continent (Yorélië in Elven) are the most culturally distinct of the four known races of Verden. Worshiping Ohtar the Immaculate, the Elves exist in scores of tribes throughout the Eastern Jungles, constantly warring and feuding with one another. Their culture heavily emphasizes pain and sacrifice as a means to both spitirual and temporal betterment, and the warlike reality of their civilization supports this emphasis.
Magic: The Elven arcane arts channel their power through blood, based on observations made in the Hall of the Gods near Fort Titus, just prior to the Battle of Avalon.
Culture: The Elven obsession with blood and pain extends to their prisoners of war (which are all of their prisoners). Through some form of torture or mind-control, most who are captured by the Yorélië are broken psychologically before being transferred to the vanguard of the battle-groups, known as the Yór'rsa, or Bloodragers.
