Power Sphere

The Power Sphere is one of the four fundamental aspects of reality in The Twenty Domains magic system of Tarras. It represents raw forces and energies—the fundamental powers that flow through reality, from light and shadow to storm and flame.

The Five Domains of Power

The Power Sphere intersects with each of the five Elders to create five distinct domains:

• Void × Power = Shadow - Darkness and the absence of energy
• Preservation × Power = Light - Illumination and radiant energy
• Fate × Power = Weather - Storms, winds, and the destined movements of natural forces
• Luck × Power = Doom - Curses and misfortune made manifest as power
• Ruin × Power = Destruction - Pure destructive force and the unmaking of energy

Cross-Training

Practitioners who study multiple domains within the Power Sphere find it easier to learn adjacent magics than those who jump to different Spheres. A wielder of Light magic might more naturally progress to Shadow than to Life (in the Life Sphere), despite both Light and Life being Preservation domains.

Philosophical Nature

The Power Sphere deals fundamentally with energy in its rawest forms—not the structured matter of physical objects or the complex systems of living things, but pure force: illumination and darkness, storm and stillness, fortune and catastrophe made manifest as power itself.
