The Traveller, also known as Croaker, is one of the Old Gods and a member of the Stone Council. His divine journey took him from mortal bard to lich to god of Warp - a unique and dark path among the deities.
Croaker began as a mortal bard and sorcerer of great power. During his mortal life, he became the lifelong nemesis of Vlad Dashing, engaging in conflicts that would span ages.
Through his mastery of arcane power, Croaker achieved lichdom, transforming himself into an undead sorcerer of terrible might. Eventually, he ascended beyond even that state to become a god, taking the portfolio of Warp - the domain of space, dimension, and twisted reality.
As one of the Old Gods, Croaker was imprisoned during The Usurpation twelve centuries ago. Like other members of The Beleaguered, he eventually escaped his imprisonment.
Shortly before the Battle of Avalon, Croaker encountered his ancient nemesis Vlad Dashing once more. True to their eternal conflict, Vlad (temporarily) killed Croaker somewhere near Avalon, right above the advancing elven army.
However, as a lich-god of Warp, death may be far more complicated for Croaker than for ordinary beings. His current status and whether he will return remains uncertain.
