Adaephon is one of the five Elders, the cosmic entities that represent the primal forces of Verden. Adaephon embodies the Void and is believed to most commonly manifest as a dragon, like the other Elders.
As the Elder of the Void, Adaephon represents emptiness, nothingness, the space between things, and perhaps the absence of existence itself. The Void is the most enigmatic of the primal forces—it may represent potential, oblivion, the unknown, or something beyond mortal comprehension entirely.
Adaephon presides over five divine domains that draw power from this cosmic force.
According to the principles of Divinity and Magic on Tarras, Adaephon is one of the sources of the 25 "god spots" available on Tarras. Each Elder controls five domains, and those who ascend to godhood within Adaephon's domains draw their power ultimately from this Elder.
The nature of the Void raises profound questions:
Given that Divinity and Magic on Tarras are the same thing on Tarras, and all power flows from the Elders, one must wonder what kind of magic or divinity manifests from the Void, and what gods or powers might claim dominion over emptiness itself.
Little is truly known about Adaephon's nature, intentions, or whether this Elder involves itself in the affairs of mortals and gods. Like all the Elders, Adaephon remains a cosmic enigma—perhaps the most enigmatic of all.
